EVOKE ! The name that literally excites me after all the hype from the foodies and zomato. This place was on my wish list for long,as it was far off from where I reside. But finally, when I got invited to try out this place,With no regrets, I was up for it.
Perfectly located where it could grab the IT crowd for evening chill out. This place is easy to find but careful,Your google maps may trick you.
The same complex also houses Sigree and Mainland China. And parking isn’t an issue here.
As we walked up to this place,we noticed the walls adjacent to the staircase painted black with the names of music Artists. It was wonderfully decorated, following the passage,it led us to the entrance of the Bar.As we entered,We could feel darkness and good music that added up to our excitement. The ambiance is commendable here.It totally wowed me.
Coming to the food and drinks,
We went by the chef’s choice.Started with Saffron Cream delight (Mocktail) which was so heavenly. It tasted more like a badam milk with a twist of saffron.I loved every sip of it.
On the Alcoholic side,We got to try,
Sex on the beach | Sea Breeze | Litchi mojito | Rasberry Mojito | Saffrontini.
Sex on the beach instantly was my fav.It was a mix of peach,Cranberry and Orange juice blended with Vodka. Also the mojitos were perfect.
Saffrontini was a saffron and vodka based drink.Didn’t get along well to me.
Meanwhile,our starters kept flooding in,
On the veg section,We had,
La Classica Bruschetta |Veg Money bags | Achari panner tikka | Mexican Cigar rolls | Cheesy potato fritters
La Classica Bruschetta is a french baguette topped with sharp tomato and olive oil.Seemed very normal but It’s a good combo, though.
Veg money bags were so yum and Mexican cigar rolls were good enough being veg.Cheesy potato fritters lacked in cheese and were slightly bland. But the dip added flavors to the fritters.
On the Non-veg section,We had,
Tandoori Jinga | Calamari fritters | Murg Pudhina kebab | Mahi sheek kebab | Hot Basil chicken strips | Babri sheek kebab.
Tandoori jinga, prawn based dish that were presented well and tasted so yum.It was marinated with Indian spices that were so perfect.
Calamari fritters stood out for me.I loved every bit of it.Perfectly deep fried and crispy.Went on well with the mayo.
Murg Pudhina kebab was cooked to perfection and had intense flavors of pudhina.
Mahi sheek was pomfret meat kebab served with mint sauce.Tasted good.
Hot Basil Chicken strips looked stunningly good as it was presented well. The taste wasn’t up to my choice as I’m not a fan of basil but others thoroughly enjoyed it.
Babri sheek kebab is something to hit on for the lamb lovers.
For the mains,We opted Italian.
Penne Pomadaro with chicken: This pasta was a tomato based pasta which was lil tangy and had good amount of chicken in it.
fussili basil Alfredo : White sauce based cheesy pasta with a hint of basil and other veggies.Tastes good.
Assorted bread basket : it had different varieties of bread including masala, butter, garlic and pudhina naan. The sides, panner butter masala and prawn masala was good with the naan.
Service is truly commendable here.Very much prompt.
On the whole,This place will surely keep evoking me again! A good and a pleasant experience.
